Are you tough enough? Cancer Research UK want you for Castleton's 10k this October

On the 20th of October 2018, Cancer Research UK is calling on the toughest runners to tackle a 10k and help beat cancer sooner.

Steep, never-ending hill climbs will get the heart pumping and thighs burning. This 357m total ascent has you taking on marked trails, road, grass and mud in a truly tough 10k.

Here's a video Cancer Research UK put together to show off their Tough 10 events:

Last year Lucy Locket and Mr L took on this run together. With little training and Lucy waiting for a back operation, they didn't quite reach their personal bests, admitting that the climbs were incredibly steep and had to walk large parts of it.

It was a great day out and a charity which is incredibly important. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to support the work of Cancer Research and challenge yourself to a brutal - but super fun - 10k like no other in the UK.

Locket Loves Tough 10k

It kicks off at 10 am in Castleton. The Locket clan featuring Lucy, Mama, Papa and Mr L will be attending to help raise money for this fantastic cause.

This will be Mama Locket's second race, and first 10k, recently completing the Global Energy run meeting her personal best.

If you use the code LOCKET25 at checkout, when signing up to any of the Tough 10 events across the UK, you will receive 25% off the entrance fee. Valid until midnight until October 5th.
